Pick on someone your same size!

Did you know that rams run at each other at speeds up to 20mph when they butt heads? That the horns on a mature ram can weigh as much as 30 lbs. That’s a collision but the boney head structure allows the rams to absorb the impact.

Another interesting fact, is that generally these head butting contests tend to be with animals of similar size. This Ram would not try to take on the beast of the herd that has scarred horns and broken tips because it out weighs him significantly. Rather this ram will test his prowess where the advantages don’t overwhelmingly favor the opponent.
